Application Process & Timeline
How does applying work? And when will I know if I'm accepted?
For first consideration, complete your application by the deadline, January 15th. After that, SOCO Beach Project will have a rolling application deadline based on the remaining spaces available.
After you complete the application, you will contacted for a follow-up interview. Both the application and interview allow you along with Pastor Willemina to discern if this is a good fit for you. After the interview, you will receive follow up communication regarding your acceptance into the project. To confirm your spot, you will need to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit (no later than two weeks after your invitation to the project).
Summer job postings are typically available starting in early March. You will be given assistance to line up potential summer employment, with the goal to secure a job prior to your arrival in May. If you are hoping for a summer co-op placement in alignment with your current studies, please alert Pastor Willemina ASAP to the co-op parameters and requirements. However, ultimately a job or co-op placement (with assistance, of course) will be your responsibility.
Feel free to contact Pastor Willemina with any additional questions regarding this process and timeline.
